Running around Paris to take photos of some of the world’s most fashionable people was so much fun AND a bit chaotic!  In the process of looking like a total crazy person, I was able to capture some amazing and inspiring looks outside of the Acne show at the Grand Palais.  What is great about these looks is that even if the entire ensemble doesn’t appeal to you (let’s be honest–some fashion can be completely out there!), you can pull ideas from them to incorporate into your own outfit.  For example, one of the girls below is wearing pink ankle pants, black ankle-strap pumps and a graphic-print sweatshirt.  I am not a fan of graphic-print tops, but I love the pink pants and heels.  It is all about using what works best for you and your own style!  It’s all about wearing clothing that fits you correctly, works for your skintone, and looks proportional when pieced together.  As a fashion lover, I already appreciate the detail and design of most clothing, but being there and seeing it all in person has given me a newfound appreciation for it all!  Below are some of the looks that caught my ‘FP’ eye. 😉

Which look is more your style?

1. Aida from Barcelona: Blogger

Aida’s look really caught my eye.  I love the mix of textures with the cotton beanie, fur jacket, fuzzy sweater and denim.  A popular style was layering cropped leather jackets and blazers underneath the main coat, like Aida.  The pop of plum from the beanie, the striped blazer, and the chic Miu Miu sunglasses just completed the look!

2. Elin Kling: Blogger & Fashion Entrepeneur

Elin’s casual yet chic look is one you could recreate for any occasion: button-down blouse, black skinny jeans, and black ankle boots.  Add a fur coat for added drama!

3. Izortze from Bilbao, Spain: Blogger (Clochet)

Her classic and feminine look was masterfully amped up with this bright, edgy outfit.  Instead of a traditional pant suit, she paired ankle pants with a cardigan of the same color.  The navy coat gave it that classic edge.  It was cold that day, so there was no lack of dark tights and heels!

4. These four ladies from Greece stood-out with a touch of neon while keep the rest of their outfits fairly neutral.  The blue brocade ankle pants on the far left were my favorite!

5. Hanneli from Norway: Blogger

Hanneli looked so chic in this streamlined striped dress and cropped puffy jacket pulled together with a white belt.  I thought she nailed the mermaid style!

6. Alexandra from London: Fashion Buyer

Alexandra is one of the first fashionistas that caught my eye.  I was drawn to her bright pink ankle pants, ankle strap heels, and mirrored sunglasses (which she may have made me a fan of).  What I love about her ankle pants is they’re practical, you can wear them out to dinner, to work, or to a fashion show!

7. Anne-Marie from Montreal

I was so happy to see someone sporting a pleated skirt!  I love how she made the skirt her statement piece and picked understated, neutral pieces to work around it.  A leather jacket and boots gave her feminine skirt the right amount of edge it needed to complete the look!

8. MDR Ordonez from Barcelona: Fashion Photographer (Bershka)

I don’t know if it was her jet black hair, red lips, turquoise statement necklace, or that long suede coat that made me stop in my trakcs, but this fashionista has it going on!  Her outfit is pulled together so beautifully: the semi-flowy skirt and fitted top brought together with a red belt (that pulls her red lips into the equation) is just bellissima!

(Vintage suede jacket; American Apparel top; B skirt; Uterque boots; Bershka necklace)

9. Roxane Mesquida: Model/Actress (appeared on Gossip Girl)

Roxane’s fuchsia booties and lips caught my attention!  She knew (or her stylist did) to amp up her gray dress and LBB (little black blazer) with a pop of color.  Her short, uneven bob is just the icing on the cake!

10. Holy over-sized cropped pants!  If I saw these on a hanger I would never try them on, but they look fashionable and amazing on her!  It’s all about proportions and wearing a tight, cropped leather jacket was the right choice.  I give her an A+ for taking a fashion risk and pulling it off!

11. The only way that I can describe this next look is a perfect mix of preppy and edgy.  A dark blue flowy skirt and a light blue button-down shirt brought together by a textured jacket and chic, edgy lace-up boots!  I want to recreate this look ASAP!

12. This is the way to wear neutrals!  Tan skinnies and a camel-colored wool coat paired with a blue/white printed button-down blouse for added color.  And those boots, I could talk about them for days!  Can’t forget about the pop of color in the handbag and the chic round sunglasses!

13. There’s something about blondes donning red lips–it just works!  I am digging her wide-striped collarless wool coat, plaid shirt, and little mustard-colored purse.

Image

14. Pink brocade pants–yes!  Personally I would have worn a more subtle printed or solid neutral top with them.  The cropped leather jacket underneath her wool coat is spot on, not only is it extra warm but fashionably layered!

15. This outfit just screams rich!  A soft, well-made fur coat draped over a sheer, flowy, blouson-sleeve dress and sexy black boots.  Stunning!Image

16. I thought this woman’s semi-unkempt hair, red lips, and mustard-colored trench was very London-esque!  I love that she paired it all with cute sneaks and a classic black handbag.

17. There is nothing more chic than a fur collar!  The added bonus are the Ray-ban wayfarers and the sleek ponytail.  Love her understated but high-class style!
